What makes Gene Lilly different from other pool stores in Pasadena?
Three things: history, honesty, and depth of knowledge. We've been a local, family-owned business since 1969, longer than any competitor in the area. We carry a true one-stop inventory: pools, spas, chemicals, parts, and equipment. And our staff will tell you straight when you don't need to spend money. That last part is rare, and our customers notice it.
Do you only sell pools and spas?
Not at all. While pools and spas are our foundation, we also carry a full line of Amish-crafted outdoor furniture and a curated selection of arcade and gameroom equipment. One store, one stop.
What areas do you serve?
Our showroom is in Pasadena, MD, and we serve all of Anne Arundel County and the surrounding communities, including Severna Park, Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Arnold, and beyond. Pool opening and closing services are generally within a 15–20 mile radius of our store.
Are you more expensive than the national chains?
The national chains have a different incentive structure and, in some cases, a different product. Professional-grade chemicals at full concentration aren't the same as what's on a big-box shelf. We don't cut corners on what we stock, and our prices are still better. Our customers notice both.
Is water testing really free?
Always. Bring in a water sample and we'll run a full computerized test at no charge. We'll tell you exactly what your water needs, and just as importantly, we'll tell you what it doesn't need. No charge, no catch.
